Each stem rises from a stepped horizontal collar and broadens upwards towards a bevelled square candle cup, creating a clean geometric profile balanced by traditional wheel-cut patterns. The clear lead crystal provides clarity, refracting candlelight across multiple polished planes. The broad square plinth bases provide solid stability on a table or sideboard. Each base features bevelled upper edges sloping outwards from the stem joint, catching ambient light along the perimeter. The acid-etched Stuart maker's mark is visibly stamped near the edge of the foot on both pieces, confirming their English manufacture. Dating probably to the late 20th century, these candlesticks reflect the heritage of the Stuart Crystal glassworks in the Stourbridge glassmaking district. The bright glass highlights the precision of the mitre cuts around the lower stem, where intersecting diagonal grooves create textured diamond relief beneath upright fan motifs.

Standing 15 cm high, the pair accommodates standard taper candles in neatly ground, cylindrical sockets set within square tops. Small protective pads remain affixed to the underside corners of the bases, preventing scratches to polished surfaces.
