Hand-knotted in all-natural dyed, hand-spun wool, this rug is one of a kind. The rug was then sun-faded for three to six months, so the sun's energy could organically soften its original colors. Once neutralized, it was overdyed in silver and washed, revealing deep, muted shades that make each piece a one-of-a-kind work of art. The dye takes a little differently from knot to knot, which is what gives the color its fine streaks and depth instead of a flat, printed look. You may notice lighter and deeper areas of silver across the surface. That layered, uneven color is the signature of an overdyed rug, and together with the hand-tied knots, it gives the rug its own personality. The wool pile is dense and soft underfoot, and it stands up well to daily use in busy rooms.
