This vintage Azilal rug draws a bold diamond lattice in vivid fuchsia-pink down the center of a soft beige ground, the lines feathery and hand-drawn, never quite symmetrical. Around it, small motifs float like quiet signatures: peach X shapes in the upper corners, two deep green bird-like forms at the middle, and a tiny rust-red mark on the left. Black dots speckle the edges.

A brown border frames the field, with a row of triangle peaks crossing the top, and woven fringe in brown and cream finishes the end. The thick, shaggy wool pile gives the pink a soft, velvety edge, and the gentle wear of age lends the rug a lived-in, collected character.
