A charming antique French wall-mounted coat and hat rack meticulously crafted in the classic faux bamboo style. Originating from France and dating to the early 20th century, this timeless piece features a traditional split half-log base that mounts completely flush to the wall. Three beautifully hand-turned wooden pegs project forward, showing off the iconic tiered "lump-in-the-throat" ringed accents synonymous with authentic French provincial country decor.
The rack displays a rich, warm honey-brown original finish with an exquisite deep amber patina. As a genuine historical item, it carries a wonderful rustic character with gentle, honest wear from decades of use—including minor surface variations and natural grain separation that only enhance its historic appeal. The structure remains exceptionally sturdy, solid, and ready for everyday use. Equipped with two original metal integrated hanging brackets on the reverse side for immediate mounting.
