Set within heavy, woven natural linen boards, the three-dimensional panel incorporates an electronic circuit board fitted with resistors and components, twined cords, wooden segments, matchstick pieces, and a small white porcelain figure. Published in 1966 by Robert Morel in France, this original edition presents André Benedetto’s poetic work, Urgent Crier. The tactile format and distinctive physical presentation were created according to maquettes designed by Odette Ducarre, whose sculptural concepts characterised the output of Morel's publishing house during this period. The 108-page volume was handset and printed by Aubin at Ligugé on Arjomari paper, with the binding executed in Limoges by the Mellottée workshops. from an original edition numbering 2,500 standard copies and 500 hors-commerce copies, each volume in the series features an individually composed front panel assemblage. The volume is finished with impressed lettering to the cloth spine, vivid red-orange endpapers, and an integrated yellow ribbon page marker bound into the head of the text block See less
