Wormley was Dunbar’s lead designer and one of the most respected American mid-century designers, known for blending traditional forms with modern lines.

This chair is a modernist take on the wingback: a tall, straight back with shallow wings, track arms, a loose seat cushion, and tapered brass legs. As you can see from the pictures, the tag is attached and while there is some wear on the arms and a light stain on the cushion back, it could possibly be saved as an original without reupholstering.

The chair is extremely well-made as you can see from the picture of its underside and it is very comfortable for someone like me who is 6ft tall.

They don't make chairs like this anymore. The last photo shows the same model, newly recovered, to give you an idea of its potential.
