The rounded vessel features a short, wide neck decorated with raised bands and simple incised detailing. Its softly aged cream-colored glaze is accented by traces of hand-painted decoration, while generations of use have created a beautifully mottled surface with subtle staining, glaze wear, and natural variations that give the jar its authentic character.

Originally used for storing and transporting wine or other liquids, this antique vessel makes a wonderful decorative object today. Its compact proportions work beautifully on a console, cabinet, pedestal, or grouped with other antique Chinese pottery. The neutral palette and time-worn surface bring texture and history to Santa Fe, farmhouse, mountain modern, boho chic, or contemporary interiors.
