For your consideration…a set of 8 elegant French c1860 linen napkins
made in the French Empire Style with a long fringe which became the style as France began to
head to Africa and Egypt and adapting a new style for warmer climates things became
more stylized and elegant
Monogrammed with an L
there are beautiful geometric patterns on the body of the napkin
They measure 18 " Square including the fringe
In excpetionally great condition we hand washedn them in lilac soap that line dried them in our VT forest the linen is spple snow white and has a long life ahead...NO thin spots or tears or stains.
