The table lamp looks like a beautiful Art Deco sculpture when not in use. The black clam shell is inspired by Venus and is finished in a black semi-matte. It is made of a resin material. The mermaid is front and center - made of a frosted lucite, gorgeously posed with her arms behind her head. The lamp has two "on" options - one, simply turns the light in the back on and the mermaid does not move, the other has the mermaid slowly rotating and the light changes color!! It is so wonderful! Lamp is in very good condition. It works beautifully! Mermaid is excellent. There is just a small imperfection on the left hand, back-side of the shell as shown in the 11th and 12th photos. It's small and not visible from the front.
