Black cabinet paint in a semi gloss finish is accented with gold trim and hardware. The back of the desk is totally finished and beautiful so the desk can be put into a room with the back facing out if you like. The front and sides and drawers are all painted with Benjamin Moore Advanced cabinet paint and the top is stained black and finished with Crystalac top coat for extra durability. There are countless hours invested in this beauty. Inside has also been refinished so it's very clean. The key works but I don't believe it's the original key. We have styled this in the photos for a man's room or for a woman's, it's beautiful for either. This looks like eight drawers but it is six. The top two drawers and singles, and the bottom two are singles. The two together in the middle are one deep drawer for files if you like. The knee room dimensions are 22 x 24 x 24.5 See less
