The Estate Room began while we were furnishing an 1880 Virginia estate house. As we filled its rooms, we found ourselves drawn not to trends or matching sets, but to beautiful objects with history, craftsmanship, and character. Somewhere along the way, we stopped decorating and started collecting.
That experience became our philosophy: beauty comes first. Although quality makers matter, pieces do not need an important name or perfect pedigree to catch our attention. If it is beautiful, distinctive, and adds something special to a room, we bring it home.
Today, we search estate sales and auctions for vintage décor, art, tableware, furnishings, and other wonderful things worth living with. Each piece is chosen individually to help create a home that feels collected over time rather than decorated all at once.
